About the position

As a Maintenance Technician II at Amazon, you will play a crucial role in supporting the Operations Maintenance team by repairing and maintaining material handling equipment (MHE) and pneumatic systems throughout the facility. This position offers the opportunity to install, maintain, and repair automated packaging and distribution equipment, ensuring that our operations run smoothly and efficiently. You will also have the chance to mentor junior technicians, helping them to develop their skills and grow in their roles. Your work will directly contribute to the reliability and efficiency of Amazon's operations, which are essential for delivering products to customers worldwide. In this role, you will be responsible for promoting a safe working environment by adhering to all safety procedures and completing preventative maintenance routines with proper documentation. You will troubleshoot electrical and mechanical problems related to MHE, which includes components such as belts, motors, photo-eyes, and relays. Building and maintaining positive working relationships across the Amazon Operations facility will be key to your success, as will tracking and storing department inventory. The physical demands of the job include moving up to 49 lbs and standing or walking during shifts that can last up to 12 hours, with or without reasonable accommodation. The Maintenance Technician II position offers a variety of shift options, including both day and night shifts, with schedules typically consisting of 4 days on and 3 days off. While Amazon strives to accommodate employees' preferences for shift assignments, specific assignments cannot be guaranteed due to operational requirements. Responsibilities

  • Promote a safe working environment by following all safety procedures
  • Complete preventative maintenance routines with proper documentation
  • Troubleshoot electrical and mechanical problems related to all Material Handling Equipment (MHE) which includes belts, motors, photo-eyes, relays, and more
  • Maintain positive working relationships across all of the Amazon Operations facility
  • Track and store department inventory

Requirements

  • 1+ years of Microsoft Office products and applications experience
  • High school or equivalent diploma
  • Work a flexible schedule/shift/work area, including weekends, nights, and/or holidays
