The Program Management Office (PMO) Program Manager, reporting to the Leader of PMO, is responsible for executing the framework and governance to deliver Global Procurement Organization's (GPO) large-scale and cross-collaboration projects, programs, and portfolios. Collaborating with a team of program managers, this role oversees cross-GPO pillar strategic initiatives, while driving project performance enhancements and process optimization. This role collaborates closely with GPO Leaders, sponsors, partners, and stakeholders at all organizational levels to execute and realize comprehensive global improvement strategies aligned with business objectives. Additionally, this role partners with GPO Pillar single-threaded leaders (STLs) to ensure successful project outcomes, including the support to a GPO Program Management Forum, to enable the delivery of GPO's vision and strategic imperatives.

Key job responsibilities

Candidates Must Have

  • Strong understanding of performance improvement methodologies, root cause analysis, and change management is required.
  • Demonstrated ability of executing multiple complex projects to successful completion is required.
  • Experience working cross functionally with tech and non-tech teams.
  • Experience implementing process improvement initiatives using data and metrics.
  • Experience building processes, project planning, and schedules.
  • Experience using PM tools (i.e., Asana, MS Project, etc.).
  • Experience defining program requirements and using data and metrics to determine improvements.
  • Approximately 30% travel

Basic Qualifications

  • 5+ years of program or project management experience
  • Experience using data and metrics to determine and drive improvements
  • Experience owning program strategy, end to end delivery, and communicating results to senior leadership
  • Bachelor's degree

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $104,100/year in our lowest geographic market up to $185,000/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
