The opportunity

Are you a passionate Information Technology (IT) subject matter expert? Do you thrive on sharing your expertise with IT professionals, business leaders, and decision-makers? We're looking for an IT Content Creator to develop authoritative, high-quality content that educates and engages audiences on topics like enterprise IT solutions, cloud computing, IT infrastructure, digital transformation, and emerging technologies.

This role will focus on producing impactful content for TechnologyAdvice's websites, newsletters, YouTube channels, and social media platforms, helping to establish our brand as a trusted resource in IT strategy and innovation. The ideal candidate is not only a skilled writer and speaker but also an influencer and thought leader in the IT space.

The IT Content Creator will report to the VP of Audience Development and collaborate with internal teams to develop content that informs and engages our audience.

What you'll do
  • Write a daily IT newsletter that best serves our audience.
  • Develop engaging content—including articles, newsletters, and video scripts—tailored to your subject area.
  • Participate in media opportunities, including webinars, interviews, and video content.
  • Serve as a thought leader, offering expert insights for industry discussions, partner demos, and media quotes.
  • Collaborate with SEO, marketing, and business development teams to align content with audience needs and trends.
  • Maintain a consistent content production schedule, producing weekly written content or equivalent high-value projects (e.g., ebooks, how-to guides).
  • Analyze content performance metrics to refine strategy and maximize engagement.
  • Stay informed about industry trends, competitors, and emerging topics to provide fresh and valuable insights.
  • Creates copy that can be used in supplemental content elements such as infographics, quizzes, calculators, and pop-ups.
  • Attends partner demos and is an active participant.
  • Understands how each piece of content fits within the buyer journey.
  • Knows competitors and offers suggestions on how we can increase our content's competitive advantage from an editorial perspective.

 

Who you are
  • 3–5 years of experience in the IT field.
  • Proven ability to write and speak authoritatively on industry-specific topics.
  • Creative and innovative in approach to content creation.
  • Experience with public speaking or presenting to an online or live audience.
  • Basic knowledge of SEO and content optimization strategies.
  • Strong collaboration skills and ability to work cross-functionally.
  • Self-motivated with excellent time management, ensuring deadlines are met.
  • Comfortable being on camera for recorded videos, webinars, or interviews.
  • Interest in building an audience through social media and digital platforms.
  • Agile professional who excels in a fast-paced environment and thrives on continuously pivoting strategies to drive business needs forward.

Salary Range
We seek to hire top-tier individuals and intend for our compensation to be at a rate that allows us to recruit and retain individuals who align with our core values, purpose, mission, and vision. Final total compensation is based on a multitude of factors including, but not limited to, skill level, relevant experience to the position, and cost of labor.

Annual pay range
$75,000—$125,000 USD
