Mission: St. Louis Continuum of Care Coordinator VISTA ID - 12995
The goal of the Mission: St. Louis is to eradicate poverty through empowering low-income individuals to be leaders in their lives, families and neighborhoods. We focus on our efforts within the city of St. Louis, where there is a 28.8% poverty rate. Out of Mission: St. Louis comes a new initiative called Continuum of Care. The St. Louis City Continuum of Care is a membership organization comprised of more than 100 organizations and individuals from the private and public sector who work in partnership to prevent and end homelessness in the City of St. Louis. We Work to: Promote community-wide strategies and plans to prevent and end homelessness Provide coordination among the numerous local organizations and initiatives that serve the homeless population Manage the CoC’s single, comprehensive grant application to HUD for McKinney-Vento funding which includes Continuum of Care funds and State Emergency Solutions Grant (ESG) funds.

Member Duties : The Continuum of Care Coordinator VISTA will build the capacity of Continuum of Care (CoC) by providing administrative support to the CoC Board of Directors and its seven committees (Consumer Council, Coordinated Entry, Governance & Membership, HMIS, Program Performance, Service Delivery, System Performance) to help them achieve goals related to their strategic plan. The St. Louis City Continuum of Care is a membership organization comprised of more than 100 organizations and individuals from the private and public sector who work in partnership to prevent and end homelessness for the 2,059 unhoused individuals living in the City of St. Louis and the 1,200+ people in need of supportive housing.
