Propel Schools is currently seeking day-to-day Substitute Teachers throughout our 13 buildings to join our amazing team. The Substitute Teacher will be responsible for covering day-to-day absences in the assigned building. This role is a great opportunity to become familiar with propel school's culture and many different class settings. This pathway will prepare you to eventually become a classroom teacher at Propel Schools. Key Job Elements

  • Instructs scholars and groups in specified content areas.
  • Monitors students’ progress in and outside of the classroom.
  • Maintains the physical environment of the classroom.
  • Carries out lesson plans that were either left by the classroom teacher or rolls out pre-planned lessons appropriate for grade level and Subject area.
  • Provides support to scholar overall learning when not assigned to a specific classroom, including but not limited to duties coverage, working with small groups of students, etc.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree
  • DTD Substitutes who do not hold a PA certification will be required to obtain a PA DTD Emergency Certification for the year and LEA associated with employment.
  • 1+ years working with students in a classroom environment preferred.

Daily Rate: $175/day.
