About the position

The SAP Concur Travel Consultant is responsible for managing customer functional expectations and requirements for SAP Concur Travel and Expense products. This role involves consulting with clients, gathering requirements, designing systems, and ensuring successful implementations while maintaining high levels of client satisfaction. The consultant will work on both Professional and Time & Materials implementations, ensuring all project deliverables are met within aggressive timeframes.

Responsibilities

  • Identify business requirements and configure the Concur Travel application to meet client needs.
  • Interface with external clients and internal teams, demonstrating excellent communication practices.
  • Inform clients of project activities and progress through meetings and status reports.
  • Address configuration inquiries promptly and accurately.
  • Manage both simple and complex multi-phase functional requirements in implementations.
  • Gather functional and business requirements from customers and create system designs.
  • Maintain a thorough understanding of Concur Travel and Expense products.
  • Contribute to the development of configuration best practices and team training efforts.
  • Perform project implementations according to SAP Concur's Project Management Methodology.
  • Develop project plans for assigned functional deliverables.

Requirements

  • BS/BA or equivalent experience and education/training.
  • 4 years in consulting with Functional Expert experience.
  • 2 years of SAP Concur travel experience.
  • 2 years of GDS (Global Distribution System) experience.
  • 2 years as a travel agent or administering online booking tools.
  • 3 years in a software/services consulting environment, preferably in financial services.
  • Ability to pass a background check.
  • Successful experience resolving complex implementation issues with customers.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of software design theory and current practices.
  • Ability to prioritize and manage workflow to meet deadlines.
  • Effective communication and presentation skills.
  • Excellent organizational and planning skills.
  • Analysis and troubleshooting skills.
  • System testing and product evaluation skills.
  • Creative solution development.
  • Strong Microsoft Office knowledge.
