The Position

Join our community as a member of the Maple Grove Police Department! Within our community, our officers are responsible for the maintenance of order, enforcement of laws, protection of life and property, and assisting in the investigation of criminal offenses, accidents, or other police-related situations.

Qualifications

 

Need to have:

  • Valid Driver's License
  • Associate's Degree in Criminal Justice or a related field
  • P.O.S.T. eligible within two months of application date
  • Ability to work weekends, after hours, and/or on-call

Nice to have: 
  • Sworn law enforcement experience
  • Community Service Officer or Reserve Officer experience
  • Bachelor's Degree in Law Enforcement or related field
  • Non-sworn paid law enforcement experience
  • Volunteer law enforcement experience
  • Other related law enforcement experience
  • Fluent in a language other than English
  • Specialized certification (radar, PBT, CJIS, other LE, EMR/EMT etc.)
Equivalency: An equivalent combination of education and experience closely related to the duties of the position MAY be considered.
